About Shine
I'm Shona Armstrong and I have been in the dental field since 1981. I was a dental assistant for 40 years and have been a registered Dental Hygienist since 2006. I offer comprehensive dental hygiene care for you and your entire family. I was awarded the Dental Preventive Award in hygiene school and I pride myself on still focusing on you, your oral health and your overall health.
When you schedule an appointment with Shine Dental Arts we give you the time and care you need and deserve. We work together to establish a treatment plan that is best for you. We offer all levels of hygiene care from basic cleanings to deep periodontal treatment, x-rays, whitening and sealants. We also offer referrals for any of your specialized dental needs.

Basic Dental Cleanings
Your cleaning includes removal of plaque, calculus, and stains from your teeth leaving your smile brighter!
Perio Cleanings (Scaling and Root Planing)
If you notice that your teeth and gums bleed more while brushing or flossing you may need a deeper cleaning or a periodontal treatment. This process will help get rid of bacteria and stop the spread of gingivitis.
Full Periodontal Exam
A periodontal exam is recommended for patients that show signs or symptoms of periodontal disease, as well as patients with risk factors such as smoking or diabetes.
This procedure is indicated for patients showing signs or symptoms of periodontal disease and for patients with risk factors such as smoking or diabetes. It includes evaluation of periodontal conditions, probing and charting, evaluation and recording of the patient’s dental and medical history, and general health assessment.
